Nan Noble House in Nan

This house was originally called House of Chao Fongkham, but nowadays better known as Nan Noble House. Another of Nan's gems for history & culture lovers is to be found at this 150 years old teak-wooden house. It was originally build in the area where is now the army HQ and about 100 years ago it was moved to its current location. Children of the Fongkham family are still living at the house, and they open their house as small museum and show-case of the memories of noble families of Nan. Under the house is a small souvenir shop with traditional cloths and silverware that is made in a small workshop nearby. And there are always a few old ladies showing how the traditional cloths are made (very limited English). For more information see Nan Noble House
