Wat Phra That Chae Haeng in Nan

The Wat Phra That Chae Heang is for Thai people born in the year of the Rabbit one of the most important temples in Thailand to visit. The temple is build in the area where Nan town was originally founded and is built in a mix of so called Lanna style and Tai Lue architecture, probably in the 14th century. As it is build on an hill you have a great view over Nan town and a great place to see sunset over Nan town. One of the characteristics of the temple is the stairway to the temple with side-ways to huge Naga's (dragons). The photo top-left was made in 2016, the photo under was made about about 100 years ago.
