Tat Luang Waterfall

In Thai Nam Tok means waterfall, so Tat Luang Waterfall would called Nam Tok Tat Luang although sometimes it is written as Namtok Tat Luang. This waterfall is located between Santisuk and Sila Phet and is hidden in the forest of Doi Phu Kha National Park the Tat Luang Waterfall, less popular because it is less easy to get there. But worth the effort to go there! At the parking are toilets and in high-season they are selling food & drinks. For 10 Thai baht you can buy fish-food to feed the fish in the river direct behind the parking. You are not allowed to swim there! From the parking start walking for about 50m to the first part of the waterfall. And now comes the tricky part, there used to be a bamboo bridge (2016) but that is gone (2017). So you will have to cross the river by walking thru it. It is about 10m wide and 1m deep. After crossing the river there is a walking trail to the real (higher & bigger parts) of the waterfall. Be aware that during heavy rain the trail to get there could be very slippery.

Update Jan'2018: The bamboo bridge has been rebuild
