Wat Nong Dean in Chiang Klang

The Wat Nong Deang is a Tai Lue style temple on the outskirts of Chiang Klang. The temple is probably build in 1787 and of course a few times renovated. The last time in 1996. Although it is a beautiful temple it not really is a reason to travel 75 km north of Nan town. But if you are in Chiang Klang anyway then it is very nice temple to visit, not yet overrun by tourists. All in the style of the locale Tai Lue and all in style of the slow life of Nan province.

When to go to the Wat Nong Dean?

All year around, daily from 6:00 - 18:00, entrance is free.

How to get there?

The Wat Nong Deang is located at the outskirts of Chiang Klang, a small town about 75 km north of Nan town. Once in Chiang Klang just follow the signs.
